Innovative Collaboration Work Highlighted at 2024 AAMC GREAT Meeting

Our Data Science Summer Intern (Cole Whittington) collaborated with Dr. Cherilynn Shadding, Associate Dean at MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston to use articifial intelligence tools to analyze nearly 400 exit interviews from graduating trainees from 2019-2024. Through machine learning techniques, interview comments were assigned a sentiment score based on the thoughts on their relationship with their PI, making this large set of qualitative data quantifable and actionable for program improvement. The result were presented at the 2024 AAMC Biomedical Research Training Conference in Dallas, TX.
